Vapor Cigarettes

I was out with some friends one time at a bar and I pulled out my vapor cigarette and took a few puffs.  Some friends that were out with me that night I hadn’t seen a while, and when I took those puffs they looked at me incredulously, “What are you doing?  You can’t smoke in here!”  Because of the glowing light on the end of the vapor cigarette, and the cloud that I exhaled after taking a pull from my cig, they assumed I was smoking a cigarette in the bar.

That’s the beauty of vapor cigarettes – they look, feel and act just like a regular cigarette, but you can smoke them anywhere.  So how do they work?

Vapor cigarettes are made up of two parts – a battery and a cartridge – that screw together.  Inside the battery is an atomizer, which is activated by inhaling through the mouthpiece on the vapor cig.  When the battery is active, it triggers a release of nicotine vapor from the cartridge, which you then inhale.  As you would with a regular cigarette, you take the nicotine vapor into your lungs and then exhale.

Some brands of vapor cigarettes also have products that feature a manual battery.  As opposed to most vapor cigarettes, where the vapor is generated by you inhaling, the manual battery vapor cigarette has a button on the side of it.  When this button is pressed the battery is initiated and creates the flow of vapor for you – all you need to do is pull this created vapor into your lungs.  Many users like the manual battery, reporting that it ensures a steady, even flow of vapor every time.

Vapor cigarette cartridges last about as long as a pack and a half of regular cigarettes.  When the vapor cigarette cartridge is used up (you’ll know it by a metallic taste), you can simply discard the cartridge and screw on a fresh cartridge.

The vapor cigarette battery is rechargeable and comes with many ways to recharge.  The most standard way is with a wall outlet, but they are also available with USB connections that you can plug right into your computer or laptop.  Many brands also offer adapters to charge the battery while in your car, and some brands even have wallet-sized portable chargers that fit easily into your pocket, so you can charge your vapor cig battery wherever you go.

Vapor cigarettes certainly raise eyebrows when someone sees them for the first time, and I can’t count how many times I’ve had to answer questions about what it is I’m smoking.  Everyone comes away very intrigued by this handy little device, and it’s no wonder – they’re great products and a cool way to get your nicotine fix.  Who’d have thought there would be a day we’d be smoking electronic cigarettes?
